My horse was the last in the ride, ahead only of the other excursion leader.
They apparently don't get much rain in this part of the world, so said the excursion leader behind me. The vegetation was all very small: grasses and bushes, and some short trees. The non-vegetated land was very sandy, which was sort of a surprise.
