While wandering about campus, I saw people up at the top of Hoover Tower. I though, Hey, that sounds like fun. So, I wandered over there and paid admission ($2) to head up to the top. In this picture is the lobby of Hoover Tower.

Hoover tower is mostly a library of history documents from the 19th and 20th centuries. Librarians and historians work on floors 2 through 10 or so (if I recall correctly), where the volumes of books and documents are stored. The rest of the tower, up to the 14th floor, is just, well, tower, I guess. The tower is about 280 feet or so tall, but the viewing platform (floor 14) is at the 260 foot level.
