The house was built in 1973 but the current (original!) owner had this room added in 1974. The room extends at an angle from the rest of the house into the back yard and is a step down from the doorway. The entrance to this room is through the study, aka, guest bedroom number two; that's why I don't think it would ever make for a good bedroom. This room is really very nice: the taller ceilings, the windows onto the backyard patio (same patio as seen from the family room), the closet at the far end. Put a TV against or project an image onto the wall to my left (behind the rocking chair) and this is a great entertainment room. Note also the sliding door access to the patio. This house is made for entertaining.
